Germany: Successful Auweiler Tunneltag 2015
If you are interested in the latest developments in soft fruit industry, Köln was the place to be last Tuesday. The manual Auweiler Tunneltag was held on 28 April.
This years trade fair in Köln, specifically aimed at soft fruit was well attended. On this informative day soft fruit growers and professionals get presented different cultivation methods and innovations. Knowledge and experience could be exchanged with other growers and producers. In all of this, there is a major role for innovation.
Researcher Ludger Linnemannstöns and his team gave the participants insight into the currently running tests with strawberries and soft fruit. Hereby he provided extensive information on the technical and economic advantages and disadvantages of the different cultivation methods and varieties. In addition 35 exhibitors in the field of irrigation, plants, plant protection products and fertilisers, as well as manufacturers of tunnels, machines and suppliers of extra accessories presented their latest range.
Meteor Systems has been participating for some years with a small setup on this event, because the innovative character of this fair is in line with the philosophy of the company. "It is always nice to find that the fair attracts lots of visitors. We speak of a successful day. We were able to meet many professional visitors from the small fruit sector and exchange knowledge about the cultivation of soft fruit, "said Arnold Bol by Meteor Systems.
