Thomas Bassmann (49) has been appointed as the new Managing Director for the potting machine manufacturer Mayer GmbH & Co. KG Maschinenbau und Verwaltung in Heidenheim, as well as for the Mayer BT production site in Kisfalud in Hungary.

The graduate engineer brings a wealth of experience in sales, distribution and management, gained over many years in firms active on the international market. Bassmann comes to Mayer from his last position as a departmental manager with a supplier of intra-logistics systems in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Southern Germany. Prior to that, he spent 15 years working for the Heidenheim-based Voith Group. Under the leadership of Thomas Bassmann and with an eye to the future, Mayer is embarking on a strategy of organisational re-alignment, with the aim of strengthening the machine building company's market position.
