Russia: Three phases Ultra-Clima in as many years for Project Lipetsk
In 2013 KUBO constructed the first phase of Project Lipetsk, quickly succeeded by the second phase in 2014. A surface area of about 9 hectares altogether was delivered to the company Lipetsk Agro in the region of the same name.
These greenhouses with the Ultra-Clima concept generate such good production of tomatoes and cucumbers that the buyers are lining up. In spite of the current political and economical situation, phase three will be completed. The Russian bank issued approval for expanding by a total of 12.4 hectares, including a start-up greenhouse, based on better results in the Ultra-Clima concept greenhouses compared with traditional Russian greenhouses. This phase will be constructed for growing cucumbers and will be lit using assimilation lighting.
The foundation will be completed in April, allowing for starting construction in May. The plan is to have the first plants in the greenhouse in September, allowing for delivery of fresh cucumbers to the market before the end of this year.
