For over 25 years, family business Luiten Greenhouses/Saarlucon has been active in the construction of garden centers, production greenhouses, screen installations and providing an additional technical range of horticultural products and consumables. The company distinguishes itself with the construction of complex projects. "The more difficult, the greater the challenge," says Ronald Kloppenburg. "We don’t always need to tackle giant projects, we just want to be the best out there.”

A good example of such a project is garden center Ranzijn in Amersfoort, which opened last year. It features a specialized construction due to its vertical garden and the integration of a complete veterinary clinic at the garden center. For Luiten Greenhouses/Saarlucon, the construction and realization of garden centers represents a very important branch of the organization. Germany in particular is a significant market. "In Germany, we combine the Dutch expertise with the German mentality and language. We see that the German market continues to develop."

International participation
Not only Germany is important for Luiten Greenhouses, internationalization is increasing worldwide. This brings with it a wider range of customer needs. "Previously, it was mostly about building," says Kloppenburg. "Today it's also about the assistance of growers after completion. Projects are approached from A to Z". That is why the company participates enthusiastically in various collaborations, one example being Nethwork, a cluster of companies that focuses on the sustainable development of the horticulture sector serving the Latin American market.
