ORO AGRI strengthens its team in Eastern Europe

ORO AGRI International Ltd, a global manufacturer of agricultural adjuvants, pesticides, foliar nutrients and soil conditioners has expanded its Eastern European team with the appointment of Jan Maruska as Business Development and Technical Support Manager in Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.

This new role, reporting to General Manager Europe, Carol Pullen, will involve managing product development trials and assisting with dossier writing in the region along with providing technical and market support.



“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to be part of the professional Oro Agri team and be involved in an exciting new trend in agriculture,” says Jan who joined the company in early January. “ It will give me the challenge of developing new business and offering more natural solutions to problems experienced with soil, nutrition and plant health. Oro Agri products will be available to growers via distributors and I will be supporting the development of new products which will come on stream in the future.”

Jan previously worked for REPROSAM, s.r.o. a Rijk Zwaan distributor in the Czech Republic. The company offers consultancy to professional vegetable growers and provides vegetable seed from Rijk Zwaan Netherlands and vegetable plants from Grow Group. Whilst working for REPROSAM s.r.o. Jan provided technical support and business development for Rijk Zwaan vegetable varieties for hydroponic cultures. He also undertook trials on new vegetable varieties and spent much time in the field with growers. He graduated from the Mendel Agriculture and Forestry University in Brno with a degree in Horticulture (Horticultural Engineering).
