Contractors behind US: Syngenta's greenhouse, Argos' new facility take root in RTP

PEG Contracting, the company behind Syngenta's (NYSE: SYN) new greenhouse, has established a headquarters in Durham and is poised for growth.

Prior to its newly leased 4,000-square-foot space in Durham at the edge of RTP, PEG was housed in trailers on Syngenta's campus. Now the company has a reception area, conference rooms, office space and a kitchen area. Last December, the company had 12 employees, which has grown to 19. CEO Pierre Gingue says PEG has three positions open and is expecting to take on more with upcoming projects.

The company, which specializes in technically challenging projects, has taken on the construction of the new Argos Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ARGS) manufacturing facility, which will support automated production of the company's Arcelis personalized immunotherapy product.
