Optimized film fasteners for greenhouse insulation

Small details can have huge effects. This can be seen with TGU's new Film Fastener.

Secure against wind and weather thanks to reverse lock

The advancement by TGU is a locking mechanism at the top of the film fastener. It assures that the film withstands wind and weather, no matter if the film is placed inside or outside the greenhouse. During installation the mechanism simply clicks into place, preventing the undesired opening of the fastener. Because of this innovation, companies can save on inspection efforts, insulation films and fastener parts, which are often necessary due to detached films, as a result of heavy winds.

Quick attachment of insulating films

Less effort is also needed to attach additional insulation. The film can be attached in one easy step and a small barb prevents the film from sliding off the fastener.

Optimized adherent

Another small and already proven detail: Duct spacers are placed on top of the adherent. Their placement is designed to optimize the distribution of silicon under the film fastener. The duct spacers prevent the silicon from being pressed out under the fastener when it is attached. The result is a better hold since the silicone is used most effectively.
