The European Commission has adopted proposals to provide additional assistance to the fruit and vegetable sector following the recent ban on imports of certain fruit and vegetable products from the EU into Russia.
The proposals outline a number of crisis management measures intended to prevent surplus fruit and vegetables coming onto the market or distorting market prices.
