Ghana: Prices of tomato falls, onions stable in Tamale Survey

Prices of tomato have seen a sharp drop as the paint container (local unit of measure), which was sold last week at GHC20.00 had been reduced to GHC12.00 with onions still being sold at GHC30.00 same as last week.

Prices of other commodities remained mixed as others increased, reduced or remained stable in the Tamale Metropolis as yam and a five kilo (5kg) of foreign rice had not seen any change in price.

A full paint container of tomatoes, which was sold at GHC20.00 last week is being sold this week at GHC12.00 while onion still sells at GHC30.00 with three tubers of medium size yam selling at GHC5.00.

A GNA market survey conducted in the two main Aboabo and the Tamale Central markets had showed.
