TGA looks back on great BBC Good Food Summer Show
Its eight years now since The British Tomato Growers' Association first ventured to the NEC to take part in the BBC Good Food Summer Show and each year I think, “we’ll never improve on last year’s event” and yet somehow we always manage to do just that!
2014 saw the event trimmed from a five to a four day event, which proved much more manageable for the exhibitors and didn’t see any downturn in footfall. TGA members and friends came from all around the UK to help out on the stand and support the TGA and we say a very BIG thank you to all of you. Special thanks as always to Cornerways Nursery for supplying the fruit for tasting and selling and to Robert Farthing for providing another great looking stand, being there for all four days, plus build-up and break-down and for once again entertaining the great British public as Tommy Tomato, yes sorry to disillusion you, Tommy is just Robert in a costume – but he does suit those green tights!
There are a few pictures below, and by the way we’re doing it all again next year 11-14 June 2015 – We will see you there?
