Bato Plastics supplies plastic products for horticulture through a dealer network. Production takes place in Zevenbergen, and from there the products are delivered all around the world. Last week, at Greentech Amsterdam, they presented their two latest additions to the range.
The new Bato phalaenopsis clips are available in several sizes: for the mini-orchid (up to 9 cm pot), for the 12 cm pot size and for large plants; there is a full range available.
The other new release is the pot for the professional market, which is available in 19 different colours and is provided with enough holes to optimise irrigation. "We see that growers seek differentiation; they try to offer added value to the consumer," says Edwin van Dorst. "Consumers are buying relatively cheap pots along with the plant; this allows growers to give an extra advantage to their products." The pot is thin-walled and its production costs are relatively low.
