FloraTech IPM India signs contract, now official member of IPM Family

The business management of Messe Essen, Oliver P. Kuhrt and Egon Galinnis, as well as the CEO of the Media Today Group, M. Baqar Naqvi, have signed the contract and thus made it official: Since May 16, 2014, FLORATECH IPM INDIA has been an official member of the IPM family. As early as last August, both cooperation partners already presented a corresponding declaration. FLORATECH IPM INDIA will give its première in Bangalore in Southern India on August 22 - 24, 2014.

As a strong partner in situ, the Media Today Group, as the largest media and publishing group in the country, not only publishes a large number of established trade journals but is also active as an experienced fair organiser.

In addition to numerous inquiries, the first exhibitor registrations have already been received. For the first event in August, both partners are planning to occupy an area of around 3,000 square metres which is to be accounted for equally by Indian and international exhibitors. As with all the IPM events abroad, a tour of visits to Indian horticultural businesses is also being planned for exhibitors and visitors.

India is one of the most strongly expanding national economies in the world. Bangalore is regarded as the pivotal element for the green sector in the country. In this connection, FLORATECH IPM INDIA will offer an excellent platform in order to gain access to this market. In general, great significance is attached to horticulture. Apart from China, India has the largest cultivation areas anywhere in the world. The production of flowers and plants has grown into one of the most important trading segments in the agricultural sector and offers enormous growth potential. This is highlighted, in particular, by the fact that the Indian government classifies it as a future sector and a 100-percent export market.
