"Beta reflector provides deeper light penetration into crop"

The Beta reflector by Raymax surprised a number of growers this week when they were launched at a Dutch nursery. Growers who already use the Beta reflector are positive about the results of this reflector. For Raymax, this was the reason to bring the Beta reflector to the attention in a playful manner.

Positive responses

Several growers are already using the Beta reflector. Last autumn, chrysanthemum breeder Lies van Wijk replaced all Alpha reflectors in his garden by Beta reflectors. "Despite the extra deep effect of Beta reflector, the light-uniformity in my crop is evenly distributed. The light is utilized by the entire crop, even the lower leaves.”

Remco van der Arend, Van der Arend Roses, used the Beta reflector in both his locations. "We have decided to equip our new 1000-watt lighting systems with a Beta reflector. The Beta reflector has the highest light output in the crop with the same energy input compared to other reflectors, and the light reaches all the right places."

Higher growth and lower costs

The Beta reflector ensures a deeper penetration of light in the crop, as well as a higher maximum amount of light. This leads to increased production. The Beta also provides a lower lamp voltage, resulting in a longer life of the bulbs and therefore fewer maintenance and replacement costs. The fixture is designed with a standard reflector collar where any type of reflector can be applied. The Beta reflector is easy to clean mechanically.
