As of April 11, 2014 Nursery Combinations in ‘s-Gravenzande conducts business under the name Noordam Plants. "The past year a lot of things changed within our company," says Martin Noordam (CEO). "Last year for instance, we decided to focus on vegetable seedlings and cut flowers. Most customers know us traditionally as "Noordam", therefore it was an obvious choice to use this new to accompany the shift of focus."
The Noordam family began with the cultivation and trafficking of young plants over 80 years ago. The family business is still active in horticulture in providing young plants for vegetables and cut flowers. "Much has changed since then. The traditional use of flat glass made way for greenhouses of 5 meters and higher. Growers have given way to "Agro managers" who run giant companies. Has it become better? Every age has its charm. it's just all different!" says Martin Noordam.
"What remained is the Noordam family. But to move with the times we decided to change the corporate identity," says Martine van der Meer (communication), "the logo was changed to an image which stands for Noordam Plants: love and care for the product we produce.”
