Australian Grown logo to boost Asian sales of products

A SINGAPOREAN-based importer of Australian fresh food has signed on to use the iconic Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) logo to boost Asian sales of products.

Benelux Flowers and Food, which supplies produce to some of the biggest retailers in Asia, including NTUC Supermarkets, Cold Storage and Tesco, has become licensed to use the AMAG logo.

The company will use the famous green and gold logo on its Australian imports to differentiate them in the marketplace.

“We are thrilled to be licensed to use the famous Australian Made, Australian Grown logo on the fresh produce that we import from Australia and distribute widely throughout Singapore and Malaysia,” Benelux Flowers and Food managing director, Linda Ong, said.

“Asian consumers appreciate Australian products and produce, because they come from an environment of high quality, health and safety standards.”

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade statistics show export volumes grew by 6 per cent in 2012/2013 with consumer demand for Australian goods increasing in key export markets, particularly in the Asian region.
