US (WI): Green Bay area greenhouses overcome winter

After falling behind schedule due to the frigid cold winter, greenhouses in the Green Bay area say their flowers and vegetables will be ready for you in the weeks to come. It's an amazing recovery from just one month ago.

In early March at Larry's Bellevue Gardens, five of the eight greenhouses stood barren and frozen. Today, they're alive with colour.

"We finally got doors thawed out, finally warm enough we can have doors open. We're outside with some of our plant material already and we're getting ready to go," says Larry Rabas, owner of Larry's Bellevue Gardens.

Across town at Mayflower Greenhouse, the scene a month ago was similar. Now plants and vegetables are growing in every greenhouse, kicked started by warmer temperatures over the past two weeks.
