Roll-out
The roll-out started mid-February with Tulip, winter bulbs, potted chrysanthemum, potted rose, Kalanchoƫ and Bromeliad. Muscari, Narcissus and Hyacinth follow at the end of March. This week, Gerbera, Lisianthus, cut Anthurium, potted Anthurium and potted Orchid are being rolled out. FloraHolland is giving advice to growers for eight weeks during the implementation of each product group. After that, the auction will handle only product complaints. The quality policy will have been rolled out across all product groups by the end of 2014.Communication
Before the quality policy is implemented for a particular product group, growers are informed of the changes by email. The policy is currently being explained in various product FPCs, during product days and in information meetings for growers of specific product groups. Consequently, the meeting for summer flower growers in Rijnsburg drew 75 interested parties. Growers have a lot of questions about product complaints. FloraHolland's website has a page dedicated to the new quality policy.Price discount and product complaints
Quality Policy 2014 sets out the self-inspection principle in steps and by product group. FloraHolland is gradually stopping its inspections so that it can focus on product complaints. Over the next few months, FloraHolland will be optimising the handling of price discounts and introducing a selection menu in MijnFloraHolland. We will be adhering to the principles of more customisation and simpler methods.Quality control on request
By introducing Quality Policy 2014, growers become fully responsibility for providing correct supply/product information. Your customers will be relying on you. If you want to be sure your lots have the correct supply details, you can use FloraHolland's quality control on request service. An independent specialist of FloraHolland will check the data in your delivery form to make sure it corresponds with the lots you have supplied.Source: FloraHolland
