Russia's first Ultra-Clima greenhouse officially opened

Russia's very first Ultra-Clima greenhouse was officially opened two weeks ago. The opening ceremony was attended by the region's governor and the chairman of the Russian growers’ association, among other guests. The event saw a discussion on the future of Russian horticulture and - more specifically - Ultra Clima's role in this. Expectations are certainly high.

The approximately 4.2-hectare Lipetsk Agro project was launched in early February. The plants were cultivated by Lipetsk Agro with support from KUBO. Wouter Kuiper visited the project last week, presenting a typically Dutch gift to co-owner Dmitry Lashin (left in photograph) and the Olga sisters responsible for leading the project (centre). Ronald Verkade (right) of Verkade Klimaat was also present on behalf of KVR Greenhouse projects, a subsidiary of KUBO and Verkade.

Phase 2 - a 5.2-hectare follow-up project - is set to start later this year.
