Hortilux Schréder introduces HS Interlighting Module at IPM

Hortilux Schréder have demonstrated their new LED-system at IPM. The HS Interlighting Module is provided with a reflector, hereby the light reaches only the top of the plant.

The new LED-system HS Interlighting Module is prominently present in the Hortilux Schréder booth. The installation contains one LED-strip with two angled reflectors. The system will be placed at the maximum lighting level. The light reaches the plant from the side or drains through the reflector in the crop. In both situations the plant is lightened on top of the leaves. That's were most of the photosyntheses occur. There's no light on the gutter and no upward radiation, so every beam is used.

The fixtures are long: 2.5 meters. They're easy to assemble, says Hilde Lonsain of Hortilux Schréder. The LED-strips are very short, 20 to 30 centimetres. If a lamp suddenly breaks down, the strips can be easily replaced. Also, if the strength of the LED-lamps dwindle, the fixtures can remain and only the strips will be replaced.

The fixtures are made of aluminium and are passively cooled.
