Blue light
ReduFlex Blue is one of the novelties. This coating specifically reflects more blue light than other colours in grow light. The product was extensively tested on various varieties of roses in 2012 and 2013, including in tests carried out with a renowned horticultural research institute. The latest tests show that the coating can increase production by 4 percent. The philosophy behind the coating is supported by previous research into the cultivation of roses conducted by Wageningen UR Greenhouse Horticulture and Plant Dynamics. This research showed that more red light (and therefore less blue light) stimulates growth in roses.ReduFuse IR
Alongside the colour-selective coatings, Mardenkro is also introducing a second version of ReduFuse: ReduFuse IR. Like ReduFuse, this coating also converts direct light into diffuse light. However, ReduFuse IR comprises a technique that can efficiently reflect heat radiation. The added value of this solution is that it will protect those crops that benefit from diffuse lighting but are unable to withstand excessive heat radiation.Categories
