Bejo presents growing assortment of organically produced seed at Fruit Logistica
Bejo is a trendsetter in production and sales of organic seed. Bejo adds new varieties to its organic assortment annually and recognises that the organic sector sees the importance of organic seed in order to close the organic food chain. That’s why Bejo is increasing its organic seed production, so we can meet the market’s demand. This is one of the reasons why Bejo is putting the spotlight on their organic assortment at Fruit Logistica.
Bejo is stepping up its potential organic seed production and is now able to offer an even wider range of varieties for different countries, seasons or purposes. From mildew resistant onions to tasty carrots, Bejo’s organic seed program offers over 40 crops.
The introduction of the Rijnsburger onion variety Hylander with a high resistance (HR) level to Downey mildew continues to be a great success. Bejo introduced Yankee some years ago; an American type onion with a HR level to Downey mildew as well.
Innovative crops also available as organic
At Fruit Logistica, breeding company Bejo Zaden will be presenting Purple sprouting broccoli, Snack carrot and Shallots from seed. These crops are Bejo Zaden’s response to the growing demand for tasty and healthy vegetables that are convenient and easy to prepare. Also for these crops organic seed is available.
Bejo invites you to visit the stand, see the crops and taste these vegetables with delicious bites prepared on the spot. And of course, we will be happy to discuss our products with you.
