Canada (Alberta): ARSAN Tour of Solar Greenhouse Set for January 15

The Alberta Rural Sustainable Alternatives Network (ARSAN) is the second AFC Member facility to be toured as part of a series celebrating innovation in Alberta for AFC's 20th year. Located in Viking, Alberta, ARSAN’s innovative approach to agriculture led to the prototype passive solar greenhouse using sustainably advanced material that will work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption, as well as reduce operation costs to greenhouse and nursery operations. If you are a greenhouse operator, market gardener, horticulturist, local food producer, or simply interested in alternative innovations, then this tour is for you!

There will be refreshments and an opportunity to network included with this two-hour tour on January 15 that begins at 1 pm.
