Now, growers can spray their tunnel crops in any kind of situation, it is no longer necessary to drive exactly in the middle of the greenhouse. This can be very useful when there are five rows of crops in one tunnel. For example; the sprayer can drive between the rows and spray two rows on one side and three rows on the other side. The operator can simply adjust the width of the spraying booms with the control panel and doesn't have to adjust the height or the span of the machine by hand, everything is done hydraulically.
The Fumimatic is already a well known machine. Many greenhouse growers use the spraying cart to fumigate their greenhouses. "We sold the machine in many configurations, with and without spraying booms", said Barranco. "Even low tech growers or large scale growers are interested in the system, simply because it works very efficient. It saves a lot of time as well as being a very easy to use machine. As well as this it is also a very safe solution."
