Small expansion in Dutch bell pepper acreage

After a big decrease of the bell pepper acreage in The Netherlands last year (-80 hectare), this year the Dutch pepper acreage is about to grow with 15 hectare. Less growers have planted green and red peppers, but there will be 25 hectare yellow pepper more this season, said seed breeder Rijk Zwaan. The total acreage with bell peppers is estimated 1,353 hectare.
