In week 43, Van Der Hoeven Horticultural Projects gave Arend-Sosef the order to deliver the water and electro technical installations (incl. computers) for two tomato greenhouses in Turkey. The projects are regarding the 4.4 hectares Akas project and the 5.8 hectares Semay project in Afyon, the capital of the Turkish province Afyonkarahisar. Van Der Hoeven is currently working on both greenhouse constructions.
The working conditions are pretty hard as the temperature is around freezing point in the day time and 10 degrees lower at night. The first snow has even fallen. At present, the Semay project is colsest to completion, but the completion date of both greenhouses is the same. The aim for both greenhouses is to plant by April.
From week 45 till last week, Arend-Sosef has shipped 12 trucks with materials for both projects. Most trucks have arrived in the meantime, so the installation of the technical installations will be starting soon.
