Plant-Prod Reci:

New Horticoop compound fertilizer makes recirculation less tricky

Word has been buzzing throughout the industry for some time: irrigation water has to be recycled. The Water Framework Directive now includes the provision that by 2027 fertilizers and crop protection substances may no longer be flushed away into the ground and/or surface water. Many orchid growers increasingly have to deal with this prohibition. Therefore, Horticoop has developed - especially for the horticultural industry - a unique compound fertilizer: Plant-Prod Reci.

Why Plant-Prod Reci?

Current compound fertilizers appear to make recycling a very tricky operation. This is because it is very hard to maintain the balance in the proportions of a compound substance if you are working with water that already contains (an unknown proportion of) fertilizers. In addition, it takes too many compounds to be able to create the appropriate prescriptions for each stage of growth. Furthermore, recycling increases the risk of pollution of the water supply system. In order to avoid such problems, Horticoop has developed Plant-Prod Reci.

The benefits of Plant-Prod Reci

Horticoop's Plant-Prod Reci is an innovative compound fertilizer that provides the solution thanks to the following benefits:

  •  A compound fertilizer for each growth stage
  •  Cost-positive because the total volume used is reduced
  •  Ensures extra growth for your plants
  •  Features a high-grade polyphosphate
  •  Low sodium content (particularly relevant to orchids!)
  •  Remains effective in spite of pH fluctuations
  •  Keeps pipes clean

Plant-Prod Reci is key to avoiding the kind of problems that are caused by recycling, so that there are no threats to plant growth.
