Precios Hortícolas app shows actual veg prices from Almeria's auctions

Apple officials have given the go-ahead to Precios Hortícolas, an app where one can see, in real time, the price of vegetables generated in major auctions at Almeria every day, so it will be available for download for iPhones and iPads starting this Thursday. The trial period lasted 43 days, but eventually the Palo Alto (USA) based company approved the agricultural auction prices application.

The app has been available for Android users since last October 3, when it was made available to the public on Google Play.

IPhone and iOS ipad users can access the Apple online store and download the free version where they can see the prices of four auctions. The full version, which displays real-time prices for a total of 12 auctions, costs 24.99 Euro and a one year subscription. Once the free app is downloaded people can buy the full version via a message that appears when accessing the last available auction, or via Settings, going to Store and requesting registration.

The creator of the application considers that, before concluding this month, more than 2,000 users will have downloaded the application, in both platforms: Android and iOS.

The application has been a revolution in the fruits and vegetables marketing sector from southern Spain and a real novelty for European customers who buy their vegetables in the market of Almeria. The application is translated into six languages that are available in its Settings, thus providing access to hundreds of horticultural marketing professionals across Europe.
