New edition of Flowers and Plants Statistical Yearbook
AIPH and Union Fleurs launch new edition of Flowers and Plants Statistical Yearbook
The most detailed and up-to-date information available on the global production and trade in ornamental flowers and plants has now been published by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) in association with Union Fleurs. International Statistics – Flowers and Plants – 2013 is the result of extensive research and data compilation by Leibniz University of Hannover.
This 61st Volume of the Yearbook provides:
• Data on global production and trade
• An easy to use and illustrated CD
• Ability to compare country and product stats using Excel data tables
• Production data from 48 countries
• Detailed country breakdown for 33 countries
• Product comparisons
• Market data and prices
• Global import/export data
The 164 page CD publication has become the essential reference for trade organisations, policy makers, marketeers, producers, traders, libraries and universities.
The publication contains tables, diagrams and maps, grouped according to country, product and market. The 2013 edition includes more illustration, more detail on specific products and the ability to access the data through Excel spreadsheets.
Launching the 2013 edition AIPH Secretary General, Tim Briercliffe, said “Anyone with an interest or involvement in the international market for flowers and plants will find this resource fascinating. Leibniz University of Hannover put in a huge amount of work to ensure this yearbook contains the best data there is from around the world. Whether you want to know that Colombia produced 2,465 hectares of roses in 2012 and China produced 3,380 hectares of cut carnations in the same year; or whether you want to know that Denmark exported 295 million euros of pot plants or that the USA imports 129.4 million euros of cut flowers from Ecuador you can find it all out, and much more.”
International Statistics – Flowers and Plants – 2013 costs only 133.10 euros (including post, packaging and VAT) within the EU and 110 euros for orders from outside the EU. To order your copy visit www.aiph.org or email Tim Briercliffe at sg@aiph.org with the following information:
• The number of CDs you require
• Your name and company name
• Full postal address, including country
• Contact telephone number and email address
