US (PA): Northeast Greenhouse Growers Seminar in Nanticoke

The Northeast Greenhouse Growers Semina is designed to keep greenhouse growers competitive in an increasingly challenging environment. Presentations will cover the major disease pests of 2013, best vegetable varieties for northeast Pennsylvania, new and outstanding ornamental varieties, liability risk assessment in greenhouses, impacts of water quality on pesticide performance, making your retail area customer friendly, and an update from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Pesticide applicator re-certification credits will be available.

The Northeast Greenhouse Growers Seminar will be held Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Luzerne County Community College Conference Center in Nanticoke. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the program starts at 9 and will conclude at 3:30 p.m.

Participants will also see what’s new in the industry by visiting the commercial exhibitors who will display their company’s products.
