UK: Succesful IPPS conference sees more visitors
Last month's International Plant Propagators Society conference held in and around Kegworth on September 25 till 27 saw more then 100 participants. "It was a very good conference", said Les Lane, one of the event's organizers. "We had more then one hundred attendees over the three days."
Beside the conference speaker program that focused on the technical side of growing and marketing, the group visited several nurseries with a double-decker bus. "Times are challenging for UK's nurseries and marketing will become an important issue for us to survive", said Lane. We had a reasonable year for now, but we have to keep our eyes open in the future, especially regarding marketing techniques.
The 2014 IPPS conference will be held in Copenhagen from 23-26 September. For more information see www.ipps.org.uk
