New York vegetables directly from the roof

The US natural food chain 'Whole Foods Market' has announced the construction of a large greenhouse on the grounds of one of its supermarkets. The vegetables grown herein will be delivered to various Whole Foods Market locations in New York. Gotham Greens will serve as executive partner for the almost 2,000m² greenhouse on the roof of the Whole Foods Market in Gowanus, Brooklyn. The greenhouse will be put into use later this year.

Gotham Greens, located in New York City, is an agricultural company building and running professional greenhouses in urban areas since 2011. Gotham Greens has been supplying vegetables to Whole Foods Markets from a 1,400m² greenhouse on a two-story warehouse in Brooklyn.
