Peru: University offers training for roof hydroponics
For the second time, technicians of the National Agricultural University of La Molina, Peru will provide free training in hydroponics on roofs. In order to implement environmentally friendly cultivation, the Lince municipality organizes the occasion. Additional aim is to boost generate revenue and improve the society in neighbourhoods and districts.
In the presence of Mayor Martín Príncipe Laines of Lince, economist and Social Development Manager Roberto Galicia Sevillanos, is set to kick-start the second edition with a presentation on the positive results of the first training. The training is free.
Biologist Paola Palacios Silva of the research center for hydroponics at the agriculture university gives an introduction on the subject, concerning the quality of the products, the cost-effective production and the market value. The training takes place in September and October.
