UK: Isle of Wight tomatoes grows 40 different types of tomato on 26 hectares

A passion for tomatoes, from angelles to red zebras, drives farmer Paul Howlett's quest for perfection. In an article on The Guardian's website, Howlett is giving away a real nice overview of their 26 hectare greenhouse operation. Their produce is marketed underneath the Wight Salads branch. The farm grows about 40 different types of tomato plants every year, but as they work so closely with seed producers they can be trialling up to 200 at a time. They even have their own taste panel to make sure to be constantly producing the best fruit they can.
