VB Projects to work in stadium of FC Barcelona
Starting this weekend, players of FC Barcelona will play on a heated field, laid by VB Projects, part of the VB Group. A Dutch asparagus field served as inspiration for the field heating. The company from the Westland provided several Dutch clubs with a similar field. And now it is set to accommodate some of the best players in the world.
35 kilometres of hose
For the field of Camp Nou, more than 35 kilometres of PE hose (polyethylene) will be installed. Furthermore, the existing floor in the players’ tunnel will be removed to install the main conducts leading from the heat source to the field.
Only 4 days
The work must be carried out in record time. Immediately after the match against Atletico Madrid on August 28, the existing turf was removed. VB Projects has only four days to assemble all hoses. The field will be ready just in time for the game against Seville on September 15.
