Maduro by Enza Zaden:

"Strong but controlled crop"

In the context of the agricultural exchange, Enza Zaden regularly organizes meetings for growers. On Thursday June 20, a rainy day, saw the third Maduro tour taking place at the company of Mts Van den Berg in Est. Turnout was good.

Wilfred van den Berg cultivates Maduro in two greenhouses.

Setting and plant weight
The crops of Wilfred van den Berg look sturdy but controlled. A lot of setting occurred, causing the plant weight for week 20 to rise to about 45 fruits/m2. During the tour, the plants were again full of young fruit, but slightly less than in the older greenhouse across the street. This is because the low channel in the new greenhouse has a higher slab temperature. Average plant weight was therefore around 33-35 per m2. For a plant with fruits of around 200-210 grams and a rate of currently 39 days that counts as a good result.
