South America: First project with Hoogendoorn iSii processing computer in Guatemala
Hoogendoorn Growth Management is pleased to announce that the installation of the new project in Guatemala has been completed. Hidroponica de Guatelemala is a project near the town of Nuns, in Jalapa. This greenhouse, housing both tomatoes and cucumbers for export, is an 10-hectare extension of greenhouses already in situ.
Recently, the installation of the processing computer iSii was completed. The Hoogendoorn iSii will guide the full climate, irrigation, ventilation and screening installations in said greenhouses. The high quality of the Hoogendoorn equipment and strong brand awareness of local partner Inverflohorsa have given the owners of Hidroponica the confidence to purchase this intricate piece of technology.
The installation of the project started in March 2013 and was completed in early May. According to those involved, this project is proof that the position of Hoogendoorn is increasing on new markets in the Central American region. “Intensive cooperation with local partners is important to match the needs and wishes of horticultural entrepreneurs worldwide,” says a spokesperson.
