Bayer CropScience completes acquisition of Prophyta GmbH
For Bayer CropScience, this acquisition is an important investment decision towards building a leading biologics technology platform. Prophyta, founded in 1992, provides customers well-established products primarily based on biological control agents. For example, its nematicide BioAct™ is available in 10 countries. Prophyta has developed a unique solid-state fermentation technology for production and bioprocess development of filamentous fungi. The company employs a total staff of approximately 30 full-time employees.
