The Vitaliser is a machine placed behind the irrigation unit. By way of vibration the original molecular structure of the water is restored. Clotted fertilizers are filtered, making them easier for the plant to take in. The vitalized irrigation water also gets a higher oxygen level and more stable pH. The water is, indeed, vitalized.
“Improved irrigation water,” is how Astrid van der Knaap sums up the process. She is founder of consultancy agency Agro Guide and responsible for installing the Vitaliser in over 60 greenhouses. One of them is tomato grower Wilfred van Winden. “I always want to know if money is to be made,” he says, “otherwise why bother?” His decision to have a second Vitaliser installed was based on the positive outcome of a 2010 test module. According to Wilfred, crops were stronger and yielded a higher percentage of Class 1 produce. The entire crop is now using vitalised water. “Production is up. And if people say the tomatoes taste better as well, who am I to argue?”
Since October Horticoop is the exclusive distributor of the Vitaliser
