Natural Growers SAT (conventional horticulture) and Bio Choice SL (ecological horticulture) are subsidiaries of Glinwell PLC. The entire production of these greenhouses is destined for the British supermarket chain Tesco. Tesco recently bestowed these greenhouses with the prestigious Gold Award. Manager Francisco Miranda explained that Glinwell is the only Spanish company to ever receive this honour.
The conventional products are peppers and tomatoes. Organic products include tomatoes and cucumbers.
Glinwell was established in 2006 in Almeria. It employs 115 people. It is an innovative company, having updated its irrigation system in recent times. The greenhouses of Natural Growers SAT and Organic Choice SL feature the latest technology, the heating is generated by hot water from a closed circuit that absorbs heat during the day.
Both greenhouses are equipped with a closed drainage system that provides plants with dosed water and food. Everything is reused as much as possible. The climate controlled by a fully automated program called Issi.
