Klasmann-Deilmann sells fertilisers under the ‘MeMon’ brand
MeMon is a leading Dutch producer of organic, organomineral and biological fertilisers that are successfully marketed around the world. Klasmann-Deilmann has come to appreciate MeMon as a very reliable and capable partner in the joint development of biological and organic fertilisers for organic substrates. “In the organic-product market in particular, the MeMon range represents a logical development of our proven line of growing-media products,” says Dr Horst Kupschus, managing director of Klasmann-Deilmann Europe GmbH.
MeMon’s high-quality range, tailored to commercial growers, includes both organic and organomineral fertilisers made of carefully selected raw materials. They contain organic main and trace nutrients as well as, in some cases, mineral nutrients and organic matter. This combined use of organic nutrients and organic matter ensures greater yields, higher-quality crops and maintenance of soil fertility.
The range of organic fertilisers includes quality products for balanced and efficient fertilisation in organic cultivation both outdoors and in greenhouses. All fertilisers are certified for organic growing in accordance with EC regulations 834/2007 and 889/2008. As they are produced without any blood meal, bone meal, or meat-and-bone meal, they are also approved for growers certified by the ‘Bioland’ (organic) and ‘Demeter’ (biodynamic) associations. These fertilisers are 100% organic and free from GM, weed seeds and pathogens; they decompose easily in the soil and are simple to use.
The awareness that horticulturally used soils need a great deal of organic matter to maintain their fertility has led to organic and organomineral fertilisers being increasingly used in conventional horticulture as well, including for special crops such as strawberries and asparagus, and in tree nurseries.
