Bulgarian fruit and veg production up

Bulgaria's Minister of Agriculture and Food, Desislava Taneva, reported that “Fruits production in Bulgaria increased by 20% last year, while the vegetable production – by 18%.” Taneva was speaking at a press conference at the start of the We Love Bulgaria national campaign for the promotion of the 100 Tourist Sites in Bulgaria, a FOCUS News Agency reporter said.

“The Bulgarian fruits and vegetables are demanded more than the imported ones. Bulgaria meets 60% of the local fruit demand, and more than 72% of the vegetable demand,” the minister explained.
