HortEx Vietnam 2024 to host 150 companies representing 25 countries

From 13-15 March, HortEx Vietnam will commence its 6th edition at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The exhibition is set to welcome some 150 companies (200 brands) from 25 countries and an expected to welcome around 8.000 trade visitors from Vietnam and neighboring countries.

In the lead-up to this edition, the organizers of HortEx Vietnam have made important steps to further strengthen and internationalize the exhibition. This includes a cooperation agreement with IPM, the world's leading horticultural exhibition held annually in Essen, Germany, and DLG (German Agricultural Society) to co-locate HortEx Vietnam together with Agritechnica Asia as of 2025. Furthermore, HortEx will expand its reach in the region by alternating locations between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok.

Agritechnica is a spin-off of Agritechnica, the world's leading agricultural machinery exhibition, held biennially in Hanover, Germany.

By alternating between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok, exhibitors will have greater opportunities to serve not only the Vietnamese market but the entire Asian region, and visitors will have a more efficient overview of available technologies. The new format will offer cross-agriculture synergies, including horticulture and floriculture.

This year's edition of HortEx Vietnam will feature a range of significant activities, including; Seminar Program, Export Forum, Grower Talks, B2B matchmaking, Product Showcase of provinces (Dong Thap and Long An), National products showcase (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia...), Premium Flower Showcase, and International Seed Supply fair.

HortEx Vietnam is being supported by the industry and by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, The Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Vietnam, Vietnam Fruit & Vegetable Association (VinaFruit), Dalat Flower Association, Vietnam Seed Trade Association, Vietnam Gardening Association, Agragex and the Dutch Business Association Vietnam.

Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports surged to a record high of 5.6 billion USD in 2023, marking a remarkable 65.6% increase compared to 2022. With public investment, consumer spending, import-export recovery, and monetary policies driving growth, Vietnam is poised to achieve a GDP growth rate of 6-6.5% in 2024.
