Efficient use of space, reduced land costs, environmental sustainability, and crop diversity

The advantages of vertical farming in Ukraine

Vertical farms are gaining global popularity among producers aiming to cut electricity and water costs. A third of the operational expenses in cultivating greens on these farms are allocated to these resources. Victor Shuleshko, CEO of "Green Future Engineering," highlights the advantages of efficient use of space, reduced land costs, environmental sustainability, and crop diversity. Today, Victor Shuleshko has his vertical farm, which he managed to adapt to wartime conditions, and now it operates efficiently in a bomb shelter in the city of Dnipro.

Automated cultivation on vertical farms, including irrigation, lighting control, and nutrient solutions, results in a 30% increase in crop yields, with a remarkable 90% reduction in water consumption through recirculation technology.

Vertical farming allows year-round cultivation of fresh greens in diverse spaces, using an eco-friendly approach that eliminates the need for chemical fertilizers.

Farmer explores various cultivation methods, such as aeroponics and hydroponics, emphasizing the importance of technology development to cut costs.

Shuleshko advocates for a sales model focused on selling greens in cups, citing a significant sales increase on his farm. He urges investors to embrace vertical farming technologies, a crucial step for technology development and uplifting consumption culture in Ukraine.
