Yesterday morning Wijnand de Mooij unloaded the first wild spinach of the Unica Vera brand. “We’re very happy to have once again received beautiful, wild spinach of good quality. This summer was very difficult, because Germany barely had any product due to the warm and dry weather, and spots quickly formed on the Belgian spinach,” says Gert van der Bent.
“Just as in previous years, the wild spinach is of excellent quality, and can’t be compared to Dutch spinach. The Italian spinach is tougher and has larger leaves,” Gert emphasises.
