"Cultivation floor provides better root system and uniform irrigation"

The ErfGoedFloor is well known to growers of pot and bedding plants, but also vegetable plant growers are happy with the cultivation floor. The water rises very evenly, so that all plants get just as much water and for just as long. A cooling function provides a beneficial effect on the microclimate.

At the end of 2017, the ErfGoedFloor was installed at French vegetable plant grower Arc'At Plants. The director, Guillaume Salembies, talks about the added value of the floor for the propagation of, among other crops, his tomatoes and cucumbers. Guillaume is pleased with the uniform irrigation by the even rise of the water from below. Previously he worked with rain pipes, whereby not all plants received the same amount of water, for example because there would be a large leaf over the pot.

Jan Mulder, cultivation advisor at the Grow Group, points to the cooling of the cultivation floor, through the stony parts in the floor. "Very valuable for creating the right microclimate. In periods of a lot of sun and higher temperatures, the floor remains cool and there is no burning of roots."
