Village Farms has released some summer themed ice pop recipes to help their customers keep cool during the summer months. Recipes include Cherry No. 9 Fall in Love Again, Cabernet Estate Reserve, and Lorabella Blossom tomatoes as well as Scrumptious Mini cucumbers.
“While everyone else has turned their focus to grilling and roasting all we could think about was helping consumers beat the heat,” said Helen Aquino, director of brand marketing and communication for Village Farms. “We are building on the fruity aspect of our tomatoes and the hydrating qualities of cucumbers to provide an unconventional way to transform our products into delicious and healthy treats.”
Developed in collaboration with a registered dietitian, these recipes use whole fruits and vegetables along with naturally sweet components like honey, maple syrup, and coconut milk as a healthy alternative to processed sugars.
