UK: View the latest main-season strawberry selections

This is a great opportunity for growers to experience this year’s most promising performers from the East Malling Strawberry Breeding Club.

What’s happening

Opportunity to view and taste the most interesting new selections from the programme
Welcome feedback from growers and others involved
Complete data sheets giving their opinion on the new selections
Opportunity for AHDB Horticulture and EMR Association Members to influence decisions on which lines will ultimately be released to the industry
Adam Whitehouse will present results and be available to discuss the selections and answer questions.

In conjunction with project SF 096a, the key aim of the Strawberry Breeding Club is to breed varieties to the highest standard, with overlapping seasons, high yields, high pest and disease resistance and greater picking efficiency to reduce labour costs.

This is a key opportunity for growers to impact decisions on which crops will be released to the industry.

This event usually takes 1 hour and will begin at 5pm to help growers to get the most out of the evening during this busy time of year.
