GineTato comes available in April

From the creators of the groundbreaking TomTato® plant, Beekenkamp Plants now introduces the GineTato® plant - another world premiere in 2-in-1 cropping solutions for the home gardener.

Following the phenomenal success of the hand-grafted Tomtato® plant, Beekenkamp Plants BV from the town of Maasdijk in the Netherlands, has carried out extensive grafting trials to create the next step in space-saving, dual-cropping vegetable plants with the GineTato®. For the first time ever you can now produce aubergines and potatoes on the same plant. This hand grafted plant does not contain any GMO.

“For the hobby vegetable growers this is a real novelty in the development department. For those without the luxury of a large garden, it makes the most of the available space in the garden. Even the smallest patio or balcony can accommodate a pot-grown GineTato® plant. Pair it with a Tomtato® plant and you’ll have three easy to grow crops from just two pots,” comments Sirekit Mol, Marketing Manager at Beekenkamp Plants. “The plants has a great novelty factor for kids and kids at heart,” she smiles.

Above ground you will harvest an average of 3 to 4 large tasty aubergines. Below ground, harvest between 300 and 1000 grams of delicious white potatoes which are incredibly versatile.

The GineTato® will be available for consumers from about April 2016.
