FAO provides seeds and equipment for greenhouse farming to three regions in Uzbekistan

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations organized a field day in Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya region, specifically in the Kamashinsky district. Farmers learned about efficient farming techniques, including direct seeding, and received advice on adopting resource-saving technologies for safer, higher-quality food production.

The event was part of an FAO project promoting better land management and eco-friendly production chains for sustainable farming. This initiative is happening in Uzbekistan's Karakalpakstan, Kashkadarya, and Khorezm regions.

FAO distributed 20 tons of seeds for ten crops and modern equipment, like 25 power tillers and 30 greenhouses, to households in these areas. The greenhouses were set up in rural backyards, along with workshops on how to manage them effectively.
