Kenya: 4-day course to empower horti entrepreneurs

The Fresh Produce Exporters Association of Kenya (FPEAK) collaborated with Q-Point B.V. and the Kenya School of Agriculture (KSA) to host a dynamic 4-day course focused on Business and Entrepreneurship in the horticulture industry.

Under the guidance of Q-Point B.V., spearheaded by Lisa Robin and Mark Bos, the intensive training provided invaluable insights into business management and organization tailored specifically for individuals aspiring to excel in the horticulture sector.

A highlight of the course was a field trip to Total Fresh Exporters Ltd., offering participants a firsthand glimpse into the intricacies of launching and expanding a horticulture enterprise. Attendees had the opportunity to witness real-world challenges faced by businesses in the field and learn effective strategies to overcome them.

The event attracted a diverse group of participants, including FPEAK members comprising exporters and farmers, as well as staff from the Kenya School of Agriculture, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to learning and networking.
